CE marking

T-001.

The CE marking is a ticket to the European market and a guarantee of safety. It allows manufacturers the free movement of products throughout the European Union and provides users with assurance that the machines have been thoroughly assessed and meet all safety and health standards.

T-002.

In addition to the manufacturer, the CE marking can be placed on the product by a natural or legal person with the written consent of the manufacturer, an importer who buys the product outside the EU, or a distributor selling the product without manufacturing or importing it themselves.

The procedure depends on the nature of the product. TECH-K provides advice to manufacturers in the self-certification process for less risky products and also in situations where the participation of a notified body is necessary to obtain the CE marking, which will carry out an independent safety assessment and issue the CE marking.

Step by step to CE marking

  1. Risk Assessment – The manufacturer must identify all potential risks associated with using the machine and take measures to minimize the risks.

  2. Compliance with directives – The machine must meet all European directives and standards applicable to it.

  3. Preparation of technical documentation – This documentation must include all important information about the machine, including design, manufacturing processes, and safety measures.

  4. Operating instructions – A clear and understandable manual must be prepared for the product to help users operate the machine safely.

  5. Involvement of notified bodies – In some special cases, such as more complex or high-risk machines, it is necessary to involve notified bodies to carry out independent assessments.

  6. Control of the machine in production – The manufacturer must ensure internal production control to confirm that all produced machines comply with the technical documentation.
